Taking Dominion
In my work, I finish out houses. Doing trim, hanging doors, making the house beautiful. That is one of my visions. To make this earth more beatiful. Right now that is making houses more beautiful. The Biblical definition of taking dominion sums up that vision quite nicley for me. Who knows, as I grow I might take on other types of projects, but right now I am a finish carpenter, and I love it.

Welcome to the blogging world. :) Thank you for the comment. Who was the preacher? What were his reasons for reading thinking it good to read duplicate books at the same time? The information would be wonderful to have.
The preacher's name was Douglass Jones. He didn't really qualify his thoughts on reading more than one book at a time, he just said that it was good. If you would like, A., I could let you borrow the sermon and listen to it
I would like that. :) I am always looking for things to listen to, so that I can keep mind busy while working. Thanks!
God Bless.

Welcome!
Good first post.
Luke,
Welcome to BlogDom.
And let me affirm what you wrote about Biblical dominion. Biblical dominion is being faithful in that place where God has put you, and seeing how that little part fits into His kingdom coming.
A traveler went to Chartres in France to see the great church that was being built there. He arrived at the site just as the workmen were leaving for home. He asked a man, covered with dust, what he did there. The man replied that he was a stonemason. Another man, when asked, said he was a glassblower, who made slabs of colored glass. Another said he was a blacksmith who pounded iron.
Wandering inside the unfinished edifice, the traveler came upon an older woman, armed with a broom, sweeping up the stone chips, wood shavings and glass shards from the day's work. "What are you doing?" he asked. The woman leaned on her broom, looked toward the high arches and replied, "Me? I'm building a cathedral for the glory of God.'"
As you faithfully, quietly accomplish your tasks, you are taking dominion!
