I have been asked what part of finish carpentry do I like best.
The short answer is all of it. The whole thing just "clicks" with me. I particularly like the difficult precise things best. Crown molding. Custom wood stairs. Anything special that not everybody can do. The trick is more in being precise than being difficult that set the projects apart. But I really enjoy the outcome.

Precision. I envy anyone who can do that. Measure once, cut twice; measure twice, cut once? I measure, and measure, and measure, and still cut, and cut, and cut. My 90 degree angles are about 100 degrees; my 45's are 60's.

It is good to find a niche where you do well, and others don't. Good job! (That's the stuff dominion is made of.)

(Prov 22:29 NKJV) Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.

My thoughts there were not very refined. That says it well. It is the understanding of all the little things that seem unimportant, that make doing the spectacular possible.

Your work sounds really neat. Sounds like you enjoy it too, and that is a great thing. Precision and accuracy are important, and it is hard to find those that enjoy that sort of focus.
